Yeah, I was kind of thinking about that too.
I know they offer different lengths for the bar itself. If I need to fabricate something, I will.

Obviously, a hatch offers perfect world access to the areas that'll have to be cut, sectioned, and welded back in. The orange and black 86 drag car also had a minitub but it was huge. I think I added 4-5" in the middle to allow for a 295 drag radial under the quarter. No point in showing that one however, the car had traditional inboard mounted coil overs with no regard as to how it was gonna handle.You know @madmike1157 , I'm thinking my tubbing will be pretty easy compared to yours or @awilli93coupe 's mini tubbing.

I am late to the party. I am glad Sikkens is still in business. For a while, they were in every car magazine, then they just disappeared. Why? A place I worked painted my first Mustang black, and it was the smoothest, orange peel free job. The head body guy is an artist (if he wore his respirator all these years), but it had to be good paint to start with, right?
It's nice to have good paint, I'm using speis hecker this time around, it's about the only paint I consider better than Sikkens. There's still talent involved though, that guy was probably pretty good, I've seen painters fck up even the good stuff....
They didn't disappear, just too expensive for the magazines. They feel using it makes them feel like we might think they are a group of princesses only using the best stuff.
So, that is the early unmodified version of my boxed in frame with a notch for the coilovers with it's donor:
It was out in the back lot so I dragged the cut off torch to it and VOILA! That is some thick metal. It's from a 2013 Tahoe that had it's frame replaced.
That saved me at least $75 in new metal. Just need to cut it up into usable plates now.

Here's a neat note about cutting up that frame section, our service department has a plasma cutter!
That will beat the living crap out of a cut off wheel!
I guess I'll make some templates of what I'll need tonight and then outline them on that section. I'll show pictures of how it turns out.

Of course I'm saying that off the cuff and have no personal knowledge whatsoever of any intended use of "other" types of powder, nor would I recognize it if it were presented in a court of law.

I love a good thunderstorm (Im from north TX), but it does suck when a tornado hits a populated area. Disastrous is an understatement.
Not real sure how bad it was, nothing like Moore. Maybe ef2ish?

I need some advice, I was thinking about MM's coilover Kit with bilstein shocks.
Any views on this purchase?
I can't afford the kit and shocks on this paycheck, so I will be getting the shocks from Maximum today unless of you have a reason not to.

Wait.... Why not go down and get a cheapo set of street Gabriel shocks if you have to purchase a hold-over?

I like bilsteins, just curious if anyone here has had experience with the MM kit.
If you plan on using the car in the capacity to justify Bilstien or Koni shocks (X-cross/road course) then that choice is the right one. If you're gonna street drive the car as it's primary purpose,..then Strange, and QA-1 make actual threaded aluminum "struts" that can be purchased in either a single adjustable (rebound), or a double adjustable (rebound, extension) version very reasonably.
