Need another break from this hobby...

whatcha drinkin sammich. I'm workgin on bacardi and coke right now.

I love my stang today. another day with nothing breaking.( I mark those on the calendar)

Is it your only car? Your daily driver? If not, then mothball the sucker instead of selling it. By your own admission, you'll likely want another 5.0 in the relatively near future. Might as well keep what you've got and build upon that, rather than getting a different 'Stang and having to start all over from square one again ... unless that's the part you enjoy most...?

I'm pissed at my Fox, but I don't want to swear off 5.0's ... just 'verts. :D

Not my daily, but the $ would be better in the bank and/or into my house. I'm buying a house this year & it would be better spent "modding" that.

I do kind of enjoy the build more than the finished product.

I'm not swearing off anything just taking a break from the car hobby. I'll be back.

It is just a car in the end, if you can fetch good money for it, and use it to help better the rest of your life... might be the best thing to do. If you can get by without selling it, you might regret dumping it off.
I'm not selling it b/c I need the $. I could keep it & buy another to have 3 total cars if I wanted, but I'm not.

:notnice:dont sell it. trust me, im tired of hearing people say they regret selling it, and your car does 11's according to ur sig. so why sell it and go back up to 14's again?? fix all the problems on that one, cuz the next one will suck your $$ too. and then keep modifying it.

Who's going to 14s? I'll buy another 1 already built.

Mike, spending tons of money on your car and putting yourself in a crappy financial situation because of it is for dumbasses. Sometimes its time to move on with your life, there always mustangs to buy, the only reason I dont sell mine is because of sentimental value, so I just stick it in the garage and drive my other car.

that takes the fun away from all of it.

and aliate, no, he doesn't have to spend that much money. buying a new one is more money

not really. if you look around hard enough you can find a decent fox that will run in the 12's for around 5k. most i see need paint. but not in the long run if you think about it. i do agree...building them is half the fun. but on the other hand. head aces suck because of them. i thought what i wanted was a complete project. i loved it. but i hated it at the same time.

yeah, its a love hate thing, but at the end the satisfaction is well worth it. and when you step on it and you sink into your seat, you know u sank in there because YOU built it, and put your hours and days and sweat into it. not because someone did it for you.

trust me man I used to be the same way, all of that goes out the window as you get older, if I could do it over again Id rather buy something built.

To the younger guys, this isn't his first car. Or even his first fox for that matter. It's no where as sentimental to him as it is to you. The only thing that keeps me from selling mine sometimes is that my wife won't let me. She knows how much money I have tied up in the car with the bodywork and misc small stuff and knows I'll get hit on a sale. And in the end, I'm happy I kept it.

To Loco, did you have problems installing the lambo doors? :rlaugh: Before you get upset, I'm just kidding.
