need coilover set-up on 94 gt covertble

im getting coilovers thru a freinds race shop an was asked what spring rate i need and what shock compression an rebound ratios i want them to be set up at. any do or do not advice is greatly welcomed thanks guys

It all depends on what your going to do with the car. If its a daily driven car, go with a nice set of moderately dampened shocks and struts such as Tokico HP's or Koni STR.T's paired with a set of 250-300 lb springs. If its a weekend car and ride quality isn't as big of an issue, run with some Bilstein HD's or comparable Koni's with 325-375 lb springs. If your auto-x'ing the car or open tracking it it, get a spring rate higher than 375 and some race-valved MM Bilsteins or some SA or DA Koni's. If your drag racing, stick with a lighter spring rate such as 150-175 with an adjustable drag strut. As for the rear, the spring rates will just be a little lower than the fronts.

You can see my sig below for what I run. This is perfect for a daily driven car and I occasionally auto-x it as well. The front springs are a bit soft for auto-x, I would prefer around 325lb's, but the ride is so nice that since I DD it mostly, I'm gonna leave them be.
