Should I swap the motor or work on the v6?

Nope there are no roots or Whipple Supercharger kits available for overhead valve Motors it can however be done I've done it myself with a Eaton and there's a guy over on the Corral that's done it with two different Eaton and currently has a Whipple on a 363

Not really worth it. It would be cool but won't give you wheel roasting horsepower.

All in all....its up to you and what you want. I think original cars are cool. The 3.3 mustangs are getting very rare because everyone has been swapping v8s in them for the last 20 years.

Webber's on a 3.3 would be different.

I was thinking about putting webbers on the l6 I have but I don't know if it would be worth it or which webbers I should get
It would be extremely difficult. That log manifold would have to be radically modified to accommodate the carbs and that head wouldn't benefit from it anyway. Even as depicted, below the work required to get that carburetor mounted on that cast iron log is barely better than the 1bbl dog turd that it came with.

If it was me,....I'd look at some of the guys building a turbocharger setup for that engine,...it's the only way the engine will ever fall out of a tree Even when you do manage all of that,...the engine has a crap transmission behind it (C3).

I'd ask some I6 guys and see what would be the best path when considering using that slouch,...it takes a VERY dedicated effort to make them run....but it can be done.

I agree with madmike. it's a nobrainer. By the time you get whatever your going to do figured out with that six cylinder youll have a ton of cash dumped into it. those engines just arent worth the time, effort, and money it would take to get it to even to stock power levels of a 5.0 engine. If I were you i'd stick with one of the v8s your talking about.
The ford six cylinder is a terrible starting point for any build and that cylinerd head with the cast iron log is so bad it doesn't even make a good doorstop lol. junk that thing and put a real engine in it! I always remember my dad saying that 6 in a row dont go and he was right.

That kind of makes my point. but that doesn't look like any ford inline six cylinder engine Ive ever seen. I'll have to admit i haven't looked at the build yet and it looks to be killer, but i would be willing to bet it wasn't cheap.
all i was saying was that a build like that would cost far more than a 5.0 or351 and probably makes less power even with the turbo.

Didn't read the painfully long thread, but I usually just encourage people to just sell the car and go buy a v8 car. Unless it has some kinda sentimental value, you'll save a fortune in time and money.

Aussie headed Turbo charged 250 with a metric TON of custom fab work.lol. Not disagreeing with you at all, nothing about mikes motor was Cheap or easy,he was going for different, and he found it :-)

460? Seriously? Rebuild, trans, adapters, brakes off a semi truck to stop it, with the money you'll spend for that I think you could do a stoker 351 for less money, go faster, and handle better, there are not that many 79's surviving to warrant do'n that, the 460 is a dinosaur better suited for land yacht duty.

No you can't.
And no it's not.

I think that unless you've done something similar w/ regard to the swap in question into one of these cars, there should be a rule w/ regard to replies.

This guy speaks the language fluently. Over on FEP, he took a stock lincoln 460/C6 combo and put it into the above car.
It has heat, P/S, A/C,.and PB's all intact. It was a direct swap onto a tubular K member, only needing headers, and the correct oil pan.

He let his kid drive the thing to the prom, then took it to the track, and clicked off an 11.88 et on his second ever pass.

How freakin simple is that?
