Amazing! So you’re going to use this hood as a model to make more versions out of fiberglass, right?

Edges rolled ,front lip is spot welded ,i have to do a couple of spot welds down the edges on the fold but i have to make sure there is no twist ,there shouldnt be because i did everything in my jigs . Now i have to figure out how to finish off the rear ,it is 3/4 inches in the center above the cowl ,kind of like a cowl induction hood but muck lower. I hammered a slight v in the peak of the hood ,it was to flat looking

After a bit of welding and blending the raised area into the back of the hood a little better , i think this may just do it .

All i have to do is fit it to a car ,i have a 70 coupe and a set of 69 fenders and headlight buckets ,i need to make sure it follows the top of the fenders and the cowl .
I will bond on the scoops to make the molds ,after i will crack them loose ,the fiberglass hood will have them made in

I had to do a little bit of bowing but not much ,the sides follow the fenders very well ,the back will need a touch of extending to fit up to the cowl

$1000. Setting there ,ISO resin and gel coat . I picked up a couple of fast back conversions so it will be at least a couple of weeks before i can get back on the hood and molds

Do you have regular conversion work these days? I imagine the word of mouth alone probably brings in customers.

Probably turns around and sells them. It probably possible to make a good profit even after the labor and parts cost considering how much fastbacks go for these days.

Scoops are bonded in . I sanded the driver side to bare metal ,so far only a couple of very light dings in the peak and a pucker on each side of the rise at the rear ,see how pretty bare metal can be
