Took it down to 2000 and then two coats of mold wax ,it is soooo slick ! Did you know this stuff can build up enough static charge to light your eyes haha ,it can jump a spark 6 inches
Under brace is wet sanded . There was a couple of places at the front latch i didnt like so i am repairing it . Get that sanded smooth and it is ready to wax
Waxed and ready to go ,but my materials are trapped on the grape vine in a snow storm . The 69 under brace and 71 under brace blended very well .
Its a Thanks giving miracle ,my materials show up and there is a break in the storm ,and the forklift almost got stuck unloading the materials but didnt ,we on a roll !
Didnt keep track ,i hope to make the first one sometime next week

3/16 × 12 inch x 1 1/2 inch plate embeded that will be drilled and threaded for the hinges ,there is another plate that goes in after i trim it out for the front latch

This thread is awesome! Wish I had your fiberglass skills as you make all this look way too easy. Your years of hard earned experience certainly show in all the photos that you have shared with us over the years. You are a true craftsman of the reproduction trade. 
The under brace is trimmed . Holes drilled and taped ,latch brace in place ,all that is left is to bond the two parts together . I test fit the ram air chamber to see if it would go over the scoops and it does ,now i have to modify the plate to fit the hood underbrace
Bonded together . Tomorrow i will try to pull the hood from the mold ,it should come out easy but i have an idea for a puller if it doesnt
Its out ! I made a tool to pull the hood from the mold ,it worked perfect . The only thing i see wrong with the hood is i was a bit light on one of the scoops
after i trimmed it out i sat it on my old junker 70 coupe ,nothing bolted down and it fits great ,i held the headlight buckets in place . I will have to get out one of my 69s and bolt it all together for some good pics
