New Tires?

if you're lookin for nitto or toyo, i'd recommed here...tiredeals4less...great deals, quick ship...

bfgs have a great rep, never heard any negatives besides price...the kuhmo asx with a 420 life span lasted maybe 15-20k...the best everyday tire i've had is the firestone sz50 which they discontinued and replaced with wideovals, last forever, hook great...runnin fresh toyo t1rs now so we'll see how they hold up....couldnt beat the price for the size i wanted...my o2..

Another vote for BFG G-Force Sport. They are a good daily-driven street tire, reasonably priced. I have 255-45s on the four corners, for about 12k miles. So far, so good. They are better than the stock Goodyears (0-20k miles) and Kumhos (20k-40k miles) I've had. I will probably get them again.
:nice:

I have sumitomos and love them for how little they cost. I went with 255/45-17 on the stock rim and think they look awesome. Some people even go with 275 on the stock rim size but I like that the 255's are taller then the 275 and 245s.

I have road raced and drag raced Sumitumos, Kumhos, and several others. The absolute best tires I have had are the Toyos. They are head and shoulders above anything else I have purchased and I was replacing tires every six months or less. I gave away my Kumhos last year because I was so unhappy with them. And they were about on the same level as the Sumitumos which I just took on the track on a practice day just to destroy them. Ran the Toyos at 200mph on the dyno and then ran them to 165mph on the street (150mph for almost 30 minutes). At 200mph, you could have put a glass of water on the trunk and you wouldn't even see the water wiggle. I have had several tires at that speed and they all vibrated.

The Toyos don't vibrate, they have a soft road feel, they are more quiet, and when I went around a corner at close to 160 on highway 318, they stuck like glue. On the track, same performance level where the Kumhos and Sumitumos are squealing and sliding. Get the T1R's 245/45'-17's on your wheels. I just replaced my wheels and I'm running 285/35-18's on the rear and 255/40-18's on the front.

Because of my experience I put Toyo Sprctrums on all my cars. Best street tires I have had. My minivan which runs tons of highway miles just passed 70K miles on my tires and I'm still not close to replacing them. Just had them balanced last week and they are working perfectly.

I haven't tried many different brands, but I'm pretty happy with the Sumitomo HTR-ZIIs I have now. They were cheap, stick well, and look great. They lose some of their grip when it gets colder (or maybe my car just makes more power), but other than that, no complaints here.

If you ride a car with the Sumitumos and then switch to a car with the Toyos, you will find the Toyos to be quieter and have a better ride quality. If you put them on a road course, the Sumitumos will be squealiing and sliding where the Toyos will stick much further.
