Glad you diff work turned out well. I am not a fan of the SLP look nor sound, but as long as you like it, thats what matters. Party on Wayne!

Thank you. The SLP sound is hated more than its liked from what I see but I like it and like u said that's all that counts. The only thing I don't like is the side view with being able to see the clamp.

ok so here are some progress pics. please excuse the lint and dust on anything. this is not finished product at all. still need to make final adjustments after test fitting them in car. i only put the lens on temp with no butyl so its just stuck on there. after final adjustments they will be cleaned and then sealed up.

i did flat black on the headlight buckets and gloss black on the shrouds with a copper shield to give the passive demon eye look.

there are no scratches on the lens its just dirty

lighting isnt the best in my basement to show off the demon eye look so here are a couple pics with flash. the light inside the headlights is just the flash reflecting off the painted shields. in daylight the passive demon eyes will not be as pronounced but will show a lot more than the previous pics

let me know what u guys think and if u have any questions please feel free to ask.

That looks sweet. What projectors did you use?

Thinking of doing the same, with the flat black reflectors. But I want to use smoked lenses. I know that will cut down on some light output, but I like the idea of the headlamps looking OEM when turned off.

Thank you. I was going to use mini d2s but I wasn't sure if I was going to have enough room or not and for it being my first retro I wanted a easier install. So I ended up going with the mini H1 7.0.

Your idea would look great and accomplish the look u want. I wanted subtle but still noticable I guess u could say.

@Mustang5L5 after doing this i dont see why the Mini D2s wouldnt easily fit. if you are looking for simple install without all the cutting that is another option. also the new D2s 4.0 is supposed to perform very well and gives you more bulb choices as its a d2s and the mini H1 is a well...H1 lol.

what projector where u thinking about using?

I haven't researched in a while but was going to use an OE projector like the TL or RL projector. Everytime I see an Acura I'm just in awe of the razor sharp cutoff and amount of light thrown off by them.

Nice choice. I didn't have the balls to go with one that needed cutting lol. I gotta say I was happy with the FXR projectors I had in my Raptor

finally finished the head lights. so they are in but just need some fine tuning to get the cutoff perfectly level and even. other than that they are in and working. light output on low is very good and the high beam is great. to me they look good and im happy with how they turned out. again this is flat black buckets with gloss shrouds and a copper metallic passive demon eye. its the MH1 7.0 projector with Moromito 35w 5500k HID's all from TRS. here are the pics, i didnt post any with the HID's on at night as the pics arent coming out good. ill get output shots posted later on once they are dialed in.(please excuse the dirty car)

I really want to do mine . I'd have to order the ultra clear smoked housing though as my lenses are fluted and don't think they play well with the projector. Those look Awesome

How much do you have invested in the projector conversion if you don't mind sharing that info?

Thanks. Yeah u don't want fluted lenses as it will disrupt the sharp cutoff.

Don't know exact numbers. I bought everything around the black Friday sale time. Here is the list
-6 piece housings- about $100 or so
-TRS mini MH1 7.0 Retrofit kit- around $270
-Black spray paint -had it
-Gloss spray paint -had it
-Metallic copper high temp spray paint about $10
So I would say in the neighborhood of $400. I was quoted by a couple retro guys and prices were $600-$650 for them to build them.

havent been on here much and havent had much time to play either. work has been busy and my wife just had our 3rd son last month. finally started driving the car and when i pulled in the driveway i noticed a coolant leak. looks to be the timing cover gasket. im going to hopefully take care of that this weekend. also got all new coolant hoses as a couple of mine looked suspect.
