Having a bit of trouble with this one ,the driver side is just about a perfect fit the passenger side is being a big ole bit**. All measurements check out but fore some reason the pass. Quarter will not pull up to the roof .Its about 1/4 inch from going . Going to get into it tomorrow ,should be able to weld it all up

All welded up outside ,except for the lower part of both quarters ,the welder wadded up the wire and i was to tired to fix it tonight. It went together really well . Nick welded the trunk gutter with the spot welder and i still have to spot weld the rain gutter to the roof but i have to grind down the spot welder tips so they will fit in the channel . Almost ready to finish up the inside and it will go back on the rotisserie so i can roll the rear wheel lips and do some sand blasting i missed

Very nice. What did you have to do to get the quarter to fit?

Take it off ,put it on ,take it off ,put it on ...few more times ,then i realised the wheel tubs were hitting right in the center of the wheel opening ,dont know if the wheel openings are slightly different in the new quarters or what ,since i cut the lip on the tubs to roll the coupe quarters i just cut up a little more and ...Ta dah!

Trunk lid fits pretty good ,needs a bit of adjustment . Sanded the tail panel to bare metal ,the whole car will be taken down to bare metal then epoxy primed

Looking great! Is that a Dynacorn tail panel? If so, does it need any work to fit?

Can you elaborate on this or show a pic. sounds like you cut lip off of tubs then welded to What?
Is this the same corner you where fighting adjustment on earlier in post 27

Always making it look easy

I love watching these conversions

The wheel tub has a lip just like the quarter ,i had cut the lip from the inside so the quarters would roll smoothly ,for some reason the wheel tub was still low right in the middle of the opening hitting the quarter wheel lip ,i trimmed the wheel tub up 1/4 inch letting the quarter lift just enough to align . When i get it on the rotisserie i will roll the wheel lip on the quarter and tack the wheel lip to the wheel tub inside

I placed a level on the rear trunk brace ,then i placed a level on the top of the tail panel ,then a long level across the top of both quarters ,everything was dead on level
