Seat covers and new foam came in today , 347 stroker kit ,comp cams 280H cam and a few other parts on the way .
Got the block out ,it is a 65 289 all standard . Have a bit of notching on the lower skirts for rod clearance and it can go in for the rest of the machine work ,soon as we get the stroke kit
Been a couple of years since i built a motor so i am sure the machine work has gone up . The block will be bored ,cam bearings installed after i notch the skirts for rod clearance ,the rotating assembly will be balanced and i will do everything else . We are probably going to use a race preped Art Car C4 for now then swap out to a top loaderThis is the greatest thread, you are pioneering everything I am trying to figure out. How much do you normally spend on machining the block and what transmission setup are you planning to use?
