Agreed. I think this was a good demonsration of why forums are better than BookFace groups.

Build Thread - "Rising from Ashes" 94 Cobra build thread

I have been on a bunch of different forums over the years and have never done much posting, but my favorite threads have been progress threads. I figured I would try to post up my build thread and start with the car I finished in 2009. I worked on this car on and off for about six years until I...

Part 1

Mustang5l5's Progress Thread - Archived Progress thread '08-'20.

EDIT: Feb 13, 2018. I've cleaned this thread up a lot deleting a lot of the back and forth chit-chat sort of posts. My goal is to just limit the posts to actual action on the car, and not my thinking out loud postings. At 100+ pages, I'd like others to read through it and follow along...

Part 2

Build Thread - Mustang5L5's Build Thread -

Decided to make a brand new thread to document my build. The old thread began in 2008, and had amassed over 3K posts and 430K views at this posting in late 2020. Please hit the WATCH button in the top right corner to subscribe to this thread That thread can be found here...

The good stuff is toward the end of part 1 and into part 2 as more disposable funds came into my possession

That's easily a week's worth of reading alone... also if you get REALLY bored and want some blue-balls at the end you can click the link in my sig and read my ongoing build that won't see the finish line this year. Oh, and for sure check out the links 5L5 posted as his build is sweet!

I am the poster child for spending money on a car that does not run.
Hmm while "this" is getting fixed, lets convert to a different EFI system.
Hmm while "that" is being fixed, lets convert to coil near plug ignition.
Hmm, since I have this new EFI system that can data log anything, lets add a second wide band, crankcase pressure sensor, fuel pressure sensor, before and after intercooler air temp sensors, oil pressure and temp sensors, driveshaft rpm sensor.
Hmm, I bet I can get rid of some weight from the car by doing "X"
Maybe I can clean up some of the wiring while converting the EFI and ignition systems.
Better buy a new barrel of fuel.
Ad nauseam...
I bought a much bigger S/C that has yet to be fitted to the engine...that does not run.
