Off road H voids warranty???

Ok I have an 01 Bullitt that Im about to take in for some warranty work. Feels like the tranny mount is loose or bad. Hopefully not bad on a 12K mile car. I dont think the guy before me ran it hard cause he was in his late 50s and bought the car cause he remembered when the movie came out. There is an off road H in in with spliced in MIL eliminators and I can already bet they are gonna try and say the warranty is void. What should I tell them? Can they refuse to service it? Dont tell me I have top put the catted one back on to take it in. That thing is a bia to install. Suggestions welcome.

I think it all depends on the dealer. If they are real anal about mods, then you should take it off. I have always taken mine off when I took it to the dealer. They made it seem like just having a catback was enough to void the waranty. They also noticed my shifter and my timing adjuster, which they thought was an underdrive pulley.

No cats = illegal

Warranty or not, 99.99999999% of dealerships aren't going to even touch it.

Yep, removing cats on a new vehicle is a violation of Federal law. Given Ford's aversion to things as basic and non-controversial like K&N airfilters, you can imagine what will probably happen here...

i had taken mine to three different dealerships and none cared about the h pipe. they have to prove the aftermarket part caused a defect. they may void the warranty on your cats, but i doubt anything else.

I they don't look at the pipe you might be fine. the car is illegal as it stands right now so they can refuse to work on it. something that simple I would just fix myself and avoid the situation. the spliced in in mils are going to piss them off as well. Could probaby void your whole electrical waranty off of that. this is why I had plug on mils and kept my stock pipe back when my waranty was still there. I would just see if the service manager is cool. I mean bottom line if he is cool and the mod did not cause it he may not care. if not your screwed. he can tell you to go piss up a rope if he wants. I dont' think poeple relize that no cats= illegal no matter what. It does not matter where you live.

I can pretty much guarantee you they won't be able to work on the tranny without looking at the mid-pipe. :D

I would take it to a performance-oriented shop rather than a dealer. But you're asking about warranty work...personally, as soon as I started modding I said goodbye to my warranty.
