i'm confused by your valve covers.

how did you get one for the passenger side that had the hole towards the rear of the car.

did you get two drivers side ones?

i was buying those at the swap meet, then i realized the fill tube would hit on the throttlebody with the sn95 elbow.

i have no fill tube, i run 2 breathers piped out the fenders, im going to re-route the 2 lines into a T and run them into the old egr pipe fitting, if my new long tubes have it.

That's some Nice SHEET!! De ja vu all over again!!

Tomorrow (sat) is 8 weeks since we started. Been about 2 weeks since the last major day, but Ive been working on some small things.

Just spent about $75 in chrome bolts/nuts/washers that will be in highly visible places....C/C plates, Vortech Alt. bracket, TB to Intake bolts, and a few more.

Keep us posted.

so today i installed the oil pan, timing cover, cleaned the water pump. installed lifters the last of the new valve springs, pushrods, rockers...

i then moved on to priming the water pump, and then spraying the rest of the block, valve covers coat #2 and lower intake... the paint gun was clogged so i have it soaking in paint thinner... i wasted 2 hours... but got a decent amount accomplished. The new valve springs are beefy as hell.

O a side question, 2 of the valves arent seating all the way... they have some serious carbon build up. Any way of cleaning them up, even after the car is up and running or before hand.

You should always use Lacquer Thinner for cleaning. That's what all the professional shops use..they buy it by the 50 gallon drum.

You can get a gallon at Walmart for about $15.

Let's see some pictures of the paint.

yellow,

I have a novi 2k and was windering if you clocked the blower housing to get that pipe to work, and if so, how would I go about that, and where did you get that pipe.

Secondly... How well do those valve covers fit with the novi and such. I've always wanted those covers, but even the cheap ebay chrome ones I have, have problems with the novi hitting them and almost being too tall for the throttle linkage...

All very good questions. I have done them all.

clocking the blower goes too far and it doesn't line up at all. im using a fox body vortec pipe which i cut off the end to fit. honestly go get a custom pipe bent to fit, its on my list of things to do the pipe doesn't fit that nice at all.

Valve covers required a 1 inch intake spacer to clear everything.

You can't take the pass side valve cover off without removing the blower.

So... stick to stock hight valve covers, get a pipe made.
