A few years back my grandfather passed away and this was the car I believe my dad learned how to drive in. I've been thinking about starting to restore it over the years, strat with the body, the interrior, chasis, etc and totally fix it up. All I know about it is its a mid 50's ford... Nothing else. Orginial paint, chrome, everything on it. Just curious to what model and year it is. Heres a few pictures of the front and rear... Its basically sitting there collecting dust, and parts, as you can see And incase everyone was wondering what the yellow thing was... theres a pic for it too.

Thats ok... I dont like how they feel that much, plus the seats in my stang are lighter and more comfortable

Anyone else have any idea of what the car is?

Yup...Thats a Fairlane all right....Old movies used to be full of cop cars like that....Look on the back tail lights...the last 2 digits of the year should be stamped on it...

Joe, I was actually thinking about emailing overhaulin and seeing if they would take this car in. Its a long shot, but I have nothing to lose.

Ford Fairlane Club Sedan. Here's an auction for one with almost the same paint scheme. Kind of a nice looking old ride.

55 or 56 Ford Fairlane but could be Fairlane Crown Victoria. but I would have to see the grill, side moldings and pic of rear.
Or just send me the vin #
Could be worth some money restored. They sell for $40,000 to $80,000 for concorse car.

Stupid question... Where is the VIN number? I checked both door jams and on the dash and couldnt find anything.

Build that bad boy!

Build that bad boy yourself. Put a big block in it, and tub it out. Make it a pro street car. But you make it look like a hot oldstyle street rod.

I'm pretty sure it's not a Crown Vic. The CV has different rear quarter windows and a wide chrome moulding over the roof.

Either way it's a cool car.

As much as I would love to build it myself... Its just not pratical. I have a hard time finding money for my mustang and with college coming up in fall, I'm going to have little to no money left over for myself after college stuff and bills.
