Oh man...my car(02 GT) has been off the road since Feb 2003 and I will be getting it back this week new and improved. After blowing the motor while racing another car I decided that only JDM would be the ones to resurect my car from the dead.. Pre-explosion, I had been running a saleen II supercharger @ 12lbs of boost making about 350 rwhp. Now I have a built 4.6 JDM shortblock with 5.4 ported and polished truck heads with custom cams. I also had JDM install Kooks LT headers and a magnaflow catback. I sold the saleen II sc and bought a 9psi intercooled kenne bell blower. I plan on running a 20 psi pulley after the break in period. Well, just wanted all of you to know that it will feel great to be able to drive my stang again and I will post result as soon as I get them.

How long till it blew? I'm getting an Aftercooled Vortech SC put on next week and I'm only going to drive during the Summer and store in the Winter. I only drive 1-3K miles a year in it. Think my blower will last me a while? (I'm going to TRY to only beat on it at the track, other then that I'll baby her)
Will the KB flow 20 psi on ported and polished heads? I know you lose a little boost, psi, with less back pressure. So if you have ported and polished 5.4 heads, wont it be harder to make more boost? Just curious, I want a KB but was waiting for the 2.2L to come out to see what happens with that. Please repost when you get some numbers, thanks.

I think you lose about a pound or so with the combo I will be running but that is why I will run 20 lbs to make up for the loss with ported heads and the LT headers. Small price to pay for more hp. They estimate about 600 at the wheels maybe a little more with some fine tunnining. What's up deadlurker...it has been a long time without the car but that was mostly due to me changing my mind about the engine/supercharger combo. I ended up selling the saleen sc and opted for the KB sc and then I decided to go with an aluminum block to save weight etc. I will post results as soon as I get them.

PS The engine blew at 10000 miles however it was due to bad tune. I had the sc installed at 2k miles.
