Powercoating My Throttle Body

This may sound like a stupid question, but:

I am planning on having my throttle body powder coated. I removed it from the car, and I took off the sensors.I was about to disassemble the butterfly linkage and then thought better of it.

My questions are:

1) Has anybody out there had theirs powdercoated?
2) How much damage could be caused by taking apart the butterfly linkage?
3) Does anyone know if it can be done with the butterfly linkage in place?

Don't know anyone who has done this but it would seem to me that you would want to stay away from having the inside bore coated. This will change the inside diameter and cause the throttle blade to stick. I would also stay away from diassembling the blade. You may have some issues from doing that as well. I am definitely not going to do the inside. I was thinking the same thing about the disassembling the blade. I hope they can mask that off too. I'll post my results in a couple of days.
 
Remember - they heat the item to melt/fuse the powder coating; so any seals/rubber/composites that won't stand up to that heat could be damaged. I'd check with the powder coaters for the heat temps. Also, there is a heat limit that the finished powder coating will stand up to - most I've asked about are in the 300F-350F range. I'd want to be certain that high temps from the egr valve/spacer (EXHAUST GAS recirculation) wouldn't damage the coating. If your coolant lines are hooked up, I wouldn't expect a problem. I elected to simply brush mine up, and shoot it with Eastwood's under-hood satin clear. No gloss, just protects that matte aluminum finish - a look I like.
