Problem with DSS 306 Long block

I have a problem w/ my DSS 306 Longblock, and want to know if any of you guys are having similar problems with you're setup. Every once in a while, after I've been cruising for a bit, when I slow to a stop the motor will smoke just a little bit, but it is noticeable. I have talked w/ DSS and they told me that the problem is that the motor has poor crankcase ventalation. But wouldnt the PCV system take care of any crankcase ventalation problems(mine works fine)? It doesn;t burn oil(or very little if it does, and its a white/gray smoke). So perhapse it a carbon buildup or something bc of the smoke color? The motor does have about 25k on it, so that may be the problem. I'm just not exactly sure where to go. Thanks.

White smoke is generally i sign of coolant burning..ie headgasket issues. Blueish smoke is generally oil cause by blowby or valvetrain issues. and black smoke is generally fuel. I might suggest trying a valve cover breather to see if it clears anything up...what was the condition of the crankcase breather/filter in the lower intake mani. i assume u put a new PCV valve and grommet in there when you did the motor. Maybe give a little more info about your combo that might help too.
