Hey guys,

I recently purchased an older pro-m bullet meter. I was told that is the old school 77mm style bullet . Anyhow, the meter is cal'd for a cobra w/ 24 injectors, not a 19lb injector calibration. I have a GT that I'm planning on running with 24lb injectors. Is this meter gonna work for my application, or do you know if they set the meters up differently to deal with the cobra's different pcm.

Thanks,
James

Hello James

Usually when peeps talk about a bullet meter in the ProM line ............
They are talking about the chrome 75mm meter

Sounds like you are talking about the old Aluminum housing 77mm meter
They were the most accurate meters in their line for many years

That meter is not gonna work for your application

Reason is ... ProM setup that meter based upon the 24# slope
values and transfer curve in the Cobra pcm

Your GT pcm of course has values for 19's and the transfer is
slightly different

darn it........thanks for the info Grady. I should have asked here first before I bought it! The meter looks exactly like the 75 bullet, but the seller insisted it was a 77mm. Is the meter you are referring to the ones that have the stud mounted filters on them? Just curious.

Thanks,
James

just an FYI for anyone who may encounter this same issue......I spoke with Chris at Pro-M Racing and was told that a Cobra meter would work on a GT with 24lb injectors so long as the Cobra meter was cal'd for 30lb injectors.

Thanks,
James

Contact someone over at P-MAS they can more than likely recalibrate it for you.

I am already running a granatelli/pro-m 75mm cal'd for 19's. The rep at Pro-M said they would be happy to recalibrate for me. I purchased the Cobra 24lb meter off ebay for much less than the cost of a recalibration in hopes of running it with my new 24lb injectors. Now since my gt40p's are back from the machine shop I'll probably wait to put the injectors on with the new heads and just have a chip burned for the combo.
