That "peeling" you see is from the compound. They have a soft compound and the tire will actually get hot and almost melt off in small chunks. My slicks and ET Streets all look like this after a day at the track, but I just toss them in the shop and dont worry about it till the next race.
I think Ponys work well especially wth bigger tires and spacers. The Pony Rs look mean too but they havent started making them again yet. I wonder what a deep dish pony would look like? I pshopped a deep dish 10 hole in another thread, might do a pony sometime!
