Hey guys, these are taken from Dunnville Autodrome in Dunnville Ontario May 17th. The car has a few minor things done to it including shorty headers, catback, 94/95 front brakes with Hawk HPS street pads, bump-steer kit, and thats about it lol. Since these pics were taken I've put in some Maximum Motorsports heavy-duty rear lower control arms and FRPP upper's and the car drives 20x better than before, unfortuantely I only got about 3 laps in around Cayuga's Roadcourse with those on may 22nd before snapping the clutch cable. I've had the car out to 5 lapping days over the last few years and I must say that lapping a stockish foxbody is quite exciting, the car felt very unstable with stock control arms and wheel-hopped like crazy. Now it feels much more planted than before but still not comparable to newer vehicles, especially once it gets up over 130kph (or 80mph), the front-end gets really light lol. Anyway, heres the pics!

Future plans are to get some springs/dampers and drop the car down a bit. Then after that I will probably do a cobra brake swap, as well as put in some non-broken seats and maybe a nice short-throw shifter. Distant plans include a full-suspension upgrade with a torque arm, PHB/Watts, k-member, and if I'm really ambitious maybe a griggs SLA, but thats not for at least a year or two. Then I have to get into the engine :D Enjoy the pics! And feel free to post up any fox road-course pics/vids too!

grrrr i hate you, i CANT wait until i get to take my car out to a track day, as far as the griggs SLA go with a standard suspension setup and save yourself the money, from what i have read, it only makes a 1 second difference in lap times, use that saved money and invest in your own driving skils

Thanks for the tip, they are unbelievably expensive pieces but they have quite the track record. I'm still undecided if I want to do a full griggs setup for save a ton of cash and get an equally nice Maximum Motorsports setup. And don't hate on me too bad, I had the car die on me later that day. It cooled for 2 hours, fired right back up, and was fine ever since. I suspect a tired fuel pump or TPI module. I then took it to another track 5 days later and broke the clutch cable so its down for the count again until I get my new one in lol

Griggs is awsome for racing only, if you EVER plan on driving it on the street don't go with Griggs, yes im biased to MM but its because i did my research, when it comes down to the difference between Griggs and MM its 2 thing, griggs stuff is super lightweight and will not handle street driving, and its expensive, MM is equal in performance but its heavier because its ment to be street driven and its cheaper but its up to you what you want to do, even if you go with the k member setup from MM griggs now makes a kit for the MM setup to convert it to SLA, seems like you get the best of both worlds if you do that

Congrats mang! That looks like fun! I used to have a blast running my Fox on the road courses. After my first time I was hooked and hardley ever went to the drag strip again :rlaugh:
I had a stock suspension, cat back only 89 GT with an AOD but I drove the crap out of it! I had faster track times then a few BMWs and a STI. I was so proud that!
Foxes are a blast on tight twisty courses with their torque they can shoot out of a hole and just a little throttle rotates them very well in the corners :nice:

Yeah, most of my corner exits were like that one drifting it out. It was a tight track and the only way I could get enough speed through it was to use the engine to rotate me through them.
I could of dropped several seconds with real tires and just some springs with FLSFCs :nice:
Oh, I forgot, It did have Tokico blues on it too.

I want to do a road course so badly!! Does anyone know of anywhere in NJ/NY/CT to do this? Is there some kind of organization that throws these kinds of events at various places around the country? Forgive my newb-ness on the subject, all of our race tracks were shut down in NY... i guess they thought it would help prevent the rampant street racing problem  morons!

The old motor...the new one is much more bad ass, this was the tame one putting about 300 to the wheels

Especially having a 300lbs driver too!!
You're an ass but I could still stomp you on the track :nice:

Quick, that looks pretty cool. I figured a 2.3T Fox would be tits on the track. Its an able chasis with minor mods but pulling a 100 or more pounds offthe nose has to be great for the dynamics. I would imagine with a battery relocation and a tubular K-memeber that the car should be damn near 50/50 weight distribution
