Quick, that looks pretty cool. I figured a 2.3T Fox would be tits on the track. Its an able chasis with minor mods but pulling a 100 or more pounds offthe nose has to be great for the dynamics. I would imagine with a battery relocation and a tubular K-memeber that the car should be damn near 50/50 weight distribution![]()
Yeah the thing runs hard and flat out handles. Tubular K member, Cobra 4-wheel discs, Maximum Motorsports torque arm and panhard bar, through-the-floor subframes, 4 point roll bar, Bilstein coil overs, the list goes on and on.
He got the car when he was 12 with a blown 2.3 and first restored it with a stock 2.3 turbo from an XR4T-i then went to a mildly built Turbo Coupe motor, then to a more aggressively built turbo motor when he decided to get serious about road racing...the last 2 motors were blown up on track, haha...and he has just dropped in his most ridiculous motor yet. I have yet to see it run with the newest motor but if it is THAT much better than the old one like he says, I'd hate to come across it on the street with anything less than a termi cobra, and even then he would dust you in the twisties. The first mildly built motor would put a car and a half on my stock 5.0 with ease.
