I have owned a couple of foxbody mustangs in the past 10 years and know a decent amount about them. I sold my last Lx (saleen replica) about 3 years ago and miss it very much, specially the low end grunt and sound :D

I am in the market for a Saleen S281 and want to acheive about 750RWHP. In the past few weeks I have thought about going with an 03 Cobra Vert, but don't know which car will be easier to achieve my goals. I love the looks of the Saleen more and it's in most cases more rare than the Cobra, but the more and more I read some threads I see some people achieving big numbers in the Cobra. I don't like the looks of the Cobra out of the box, but if I were to get one I would definitely spend a decent amount on wheels and suspension. My questions are these:

1. Are the internals on the Saleen 281E and the 03 Cobra the same?

2. Which will be an easier feat to attain over 750RWHP?

s351 or cobra...s281-e also has forged internals and I think saleen series 4 or 5? blower
for the price of a s281-e you can have a brand new 04 cobra with a KB 2.4L blower and be at 750rwhp.

The KB supercharger alone will increase the 04 cobra up to 750RWHP?? I am assuming that some drivetrain mods have to be done and some rearend work? How well does the clutch handle and transmission with this much power? Thanks for the input.

The KB Blowzilla kit is amazing I canb't believe that it makes that much power on the Cobra. The internals on the Cobra motor must be bullet proof :D...

A lot of Cobra motors have been failing with over 500 RWHP.

If money was no issue, I would go with the Saleen 281 E or get the S351. Better looking, rarer car.

Cobra is better bang for the buck.

Not bullet proof. Getting 700 RWHP out of an E will be pretty much impossible.

I see you also have a 2002 Porsche 911 turbo. I love that car. My dad had a 2002 Speed Yellow w/ black interior. It also had Tiptronic. Is yours 6 speed? And what upgrades do you have on it. (ex: Evolution Motorsports Stage 4)?

It has an Evolution Motorsports Stage 4GTR and will soon have a new fuel system to hold more boost for the race program which is will put me at about 650RWHP. Just waiting on the release from GIAC. Here is a pic:

I say if money isnt an issue, get the E and wait for the KB 2.2L 2V kit. If you dont want to wait, theres been a lot of Novi 2K cars well over 600 to the wheels. Plus you will have a rare car that is very nice looking!

Edit: If money is no issue, get one of those above, awesome car! ^

That is is current car, he is buying a mustang in addition to that (from my understanding)

Why would he want to be confined to the 2v heads. I think he should go with the cobra (or Saleen Cobra, same difference) that way he has more potential.
