Its looking really cool, have you thought about making a cover for it? maybe to cover the transition from the TB.

so the plan is bodywork it and paint it the color of the car? [or black paint all of it black]

looks like you have plenty of room to weld on a bracket for the throttle cable, you can then make your own pivot arm.

You will be wasting your time with bodywork on something that’ll get that hot..Filler will bubble and lift. You’ll need to use something thats rated to withstand 200 plus degrees.

No I haven’t thought about that. Ya I know I just didn’t wanna go any further since I’ll be welding brackets and such. Not sure what color I’ll paint. I’m not getting crazy with it and I probably won’t paint it body color or glossy like that. Just “cleaning” it up basically.

Just did a quick search and there’s fillers made for the powder coating industry. I’ll see where I can get some.

powder coating it would be cool also.. or you could just use the wrinkle black, it will cover the imperfections

Not too much to report today. I got my throttle cable. Checked factory cable and it pulled 2” when I checked the TB I’ll have to do some math to mount the lug to get wot. This tb is made for a lightening so the cable will pull from behind instead of from in front. Also after some consultation with my favorite tuner and just overall knowledgeable guru I think I’m gonna run LS coils. Build my own harness or buy one and modify? Still need to search online for a wire diagram and also buy coils etc

Anybody use recaro seats from a VW GTI/GLI ? They seem like size wise they’d work. Or am I missing a better option. I do like the 82 recaro lx seats but they seem hard to get and expensive

Thanks! I already have aftermarket seats that are mounted to a flat plate and sliders so hopefully it’s pretty easy to mount them to that.

Yes, that’s what’s in my car

They are tough to find, and then pricey to recover

Since i'm doubting this car is your daily driver, be patient.
You may not find them over night.
You likely won't find them cheap, but in the end it's worth it.
Besides, half the fun is finding things.
Look at it this way, look how much effort you are making with the supercharger to do something different, why should the seats not get the same treatment?

The sun obscured these pics of the rears, but they match.

Back to the intake for now. I got the iac mounted. I’ll probably just put a breather filter on this with a short piece of hose to clear the valve cover. Hopefully those show up soon so I can figure out how I’m gonna mount the coils.
