Well at the track last night i was having a hard time with the gear rowing, my t-5 doesn't want to shift lately..(will be rebuilt before next month) so i was having a hard time getting my shift points down, however i did pick up 2 mph in the 1/8th mile by shifting at 5600 instead of off the limiter....lol
So basically heres my question, i think i need to move my shift points up a little higher to around 58-5900. My H/C/I consists of edelbrock performer intake, frpp b-cam with 1.7's, and afr 165's. I know if i would go ahead and change my camshaft to an FTI one i would better my times, but just don't have the funds right this second.
so Paul, Stangfreak, Grady, and anyone else who has these heads, intake, and even a diff. cam, give me your opinions and where you shift please.
BTW... track wasn't hooking, my best time was an 8.53 at 83.94, with a .522 light and 2.2xx 60' time.... i did the conversion, if i can get two more tenths out of it i will be pushing 12 sec 1/4 terr. what you guys think
