should i buy this motor?

my buddy has a 306 complete motor for sale. has like 40 track passes and 0 street miles. here are the mods. trickflow tw heads ported by DSS, stage 3 trickflow cam, roller rockers, eddy victor juinor intake, and a barry grant 750cfm carb, with a proform center section. he said hed let it go for about $2000. i am going to be buying heads and a cam this month anyways and was realy considering this as an option. what do you guys think. if anything id buy it put a tfs stage 2 in it and put a track heat manifold on it. sound like a good deal or should i just do a H/C/I on my stock shortblock?
