Similar Rims to the M179's

For those of you that dont knot what m179's are they are a type of cobra r rims that have a 36mm offset and 6.42" backspace and are really the only rim i can run on my car with the suspension setup and pulled fenders, if any of you know of some similarlly setup rims i would appreciate it, rims ive been looking at are some 18" saleen types, 03 cobra's, really anything with 5 spokes i dont mind if they are repo's or not just lookin for another set of tires to run for when i hit some track days

If you see 18's you like that have 6.42" of Backspace then they will work fine.

So, it would seem that there will be a source of the 17x9 36mm offset rims "Cobra R style" rims for the future! Also, they have a number of options for widths and offsets.


Also, I know that they come up every now and then in the ad forums. But, M179 rims that are new or in very good shape are going to cost a lot more than what Lakeshore Wheel and Tire has the repos for.

i got mine with hoosier r6's mounted for 450, but i know i stole those, ive been looking for another set but you're right they are rising quickly in price so i figured i would find another set of rims and change it up a bit, and 500 doesnt seem like a bad deal for those silver saleens

I think they have been starting to make wheels in 17x9 with 36mm of offset for the newer mustangs, 05+, I'm not sure how they match up hub size wise, but they would also seem to fill that need.
