Progress is looking good! Do your self a favor and get rid of the scotchlock connectors on the coil it will save you an electrical problem in the long run. Hows the tire to spring clearance with the coilovers?

the clearence is VERY close when its all the way down. thats even lower than the pics tho. it looked awesome! but, clearence is less than 1" and it was too close for me to feel safe.

Me personally I prefer to soldier and shrink wrap everything that way its protected and has a good connection. Ive seen to many of those scotchlock's fail in the years and after time they will lose there contact witht he wire from corrosion. I ask about the clearence cause I have the 10th ann. replica wheels on mine and had the UPR coilover kit ad couldnt even get the tire on do to it contacting the spring. I was just wandering if the MM stuff was different, what size wheel are you running in the front 8" or 9"?

im running a 9" up front with UPR coilovers, 94 spindles, and MM C/C plates. yesterday i screwed with the stance and even at full low it still has a few MMs of clearence. at drivable height, mine has plenty of clearence.

i had a salesman for sosmetal show me a butt connector a few weeks ago that you put the wires in the hit it with heat and it melts the solder inside the connector and i think it shrink wraps the outer shield at the same time.

wow, i need to get some of those!

and yes, don't use those connectors. i was chasing down a rich condition for over a year only to find out it was two wires causing it. my mass air meter wasn't working at all because i used those splice connectors for my mass air conversion and they didn't even cut through the wire's shielding. cut them out and did it the proper way...solder and heat shrink. it's the only way i'll do any wiring anymore.

todays progress...
i pushed it back and started to fool with the tranny a little. i put a new seal on it to see if that will possibly stop the leaking, but id doubt it. its prolly the bushings back in there.
a full set of decent jackstands would be a nice thing to have!

i gave up right here. i had to slide it under there because my jacks wouldnt go high enough so i could get the tranny and the jack under the car... it was a pain but i finally got it on the jack under the car... but i couldnt get it jacked up so i said screw it! we will mess with it some tomorrow hopefully.

front end is back on for the first time in about 6 months.

i put a different set of corner lights in it too..

1 more showing off my new bulbs and my bumper cover which is in TERRIBLE condition... but hey it was yellow when i got the car so the spray can paint helped it out a little!

I got the same headlights in my car and had to run a HID setup so I can see at night time. If you have to drive down a pitch black road you cant see crap, Im hopping the HIDs will help.

well today i got the tranny in!!! i just had to plan it out better. i was able to jack up 1 end at a time, put something under that end, jack up the other end, stick something under that end, and repeat this about 8 times. but i finally got it in!!! then, i pushed her outside and then dusted it off, quick detailed it, and took some pics!!

the interior needs a vacuuming but still is in ok condition

front looks good now

i spent most of the day cleaning up my garage. i hadnt really gave it a good cleaning in a while

thought these pics were cool as well

tucked her back in for a few more weeks. then she will come to life!!!!

as you can tell i like to take pics lol

its a 30x40. there is room for 3 cars comfortably and i have had 4 cars in there, but 1 was a longbed c10 and there was a 65 chevelle wagon in there so you can prolly fit 5 without a lift in there.

ok i made a little bit of progress on the car today.
put in my radiator and ran the rest of my wires and PS hoses..

put on my new cowl panel and trim pieces.. still got to figure out what to do about my dented cowl. my cowl hood flew up during my FIRST time doing a WOT pull. the car hasnt been started since that day. that was when i tore it apart out of anger.

heres my retarded looking ghetto antenna

and i got my stock hood out and polished it up. its going back on for sure.
