Hat on backwards with his hair sticking from underneath it along with the ripped pants makes him a tool thats trying to be cool.

If this is an EFI car foxfan you will need to locate the Spout wire and set the base timing. Dont guess on it.

You still have a spout wire. Are you disconnecting this? If not, thats your problem.

I have the old factory dizzy plug and spout hiding in the bay out of use, if i have one, it doesnt look like the stock thing.

I have a harness going from the diz plug, to a connector ( looks like it seperates) and then it goes from there to the coil and then another groupd goes back towards the main harness. its a strange setup

still in order for you to adjust the base timing you first need to take the eec's ability away to adjust the timing.

Do you have the diagram for the harness. Each wire is color coded and the diagram will tell you what wire to unplug.

I found the diagram on line. It says the spout connector is located near the computer.

Ok one more thing I found.

There are 3 kits you can get, 2 are the same and one is just longer than the other.

the 3rd kit is a complete system called perfect engine management

if you have this you need to do this

8.3 You are now ready to set your initial engine timing.
8.3.1 Using a jumper wire, jump terminals A and B of the ALDL plug together.
8.3.2 Loosen your distributor and set your initial timing to the factory setting of 10°
BTDC.
8.3.3 Tighten the distributor back down and check timing.
8.3.4 Shut off engine.
