So I turned 40 today, is something supposed to get better now? :D

seems like the older I get, the less time there is for anything. I have a feeling that in another 40 years, it'll feel like the movie "The Time Machine" by HG Wells with the scene where the sun comes up and goes down over and over and over.....

I'm not depressed or anything, I just wonder when I'm going to get to work on my Mustang or my Fairlane. I have a new, tentative completion date for the Mustang, Apr. 17, 2014. Actually, I'm hoping to buy a 2015 Mustang V8 (if Ford stays solvent that long ) so I can have two cars 50 years apart.

Did get some good news today though, it looks like my wife will get a pretty flexible job. She used to work at Payless Cashways lumberyard in the contracter's office doing accounts receivables. She work at 4 of the 5 stores in the Oklahoma City area, in fact, she worked at 3 stores at the same time, but during different days of the week.

She's getting a job doing book keeping for a couple. He has a home construction company that grossed over a million last year, she is a vet at our horse track, Remington Park, I guess THE vet for the track. They also have a ranch and their personal accounts. It's looking like 30 hours/wk, the ranch is about 8 miles from our house. Once she gets all that in line, the lady wants her to do her coding, which I guess is just like doctor's offices do for people. The lady also told her that she knows of several other vets she could do book keeping and coding for on the side.

So we may have some more money coming in soon. We'll try and get credit cards and vehicles paid off first and my wife wants to add onto the house and maybe build me my shop (SWEET!!! )

Well, if I ever get up your way, and lose about 75#, I want to drive your car. Not race it, just tool around on the street. I've always wanted one, but tried to sit in a FFR at the Tulsa Shelby Meet and not only was my butt too big, but my feet were as well (they're only 11D's!!!). Granted, it was a competition seat, if it hadn't had the sides, and I took my shoes off, I probably could have driven it, but my knees were against the dash (I'm only 5'11").

Something is wrong with their website, all the links aren't working quite right. It's indoor carting with electric carts. I haven't been yet, but I've talked with some friends and they have said it's a blast, but it is sorta pricey.

Too bad the Hornets aren't in town, I have been to one of those games and they are a BLAST!!! The Blazers hockey team is out of town as well, but you've probably been to a Thunder game. The PBR tour championship is that weekend at the Ford Center. Arena2 football doesn't start until March. Riverwind Casino is a big new casino just across the river on the south edge of Norman.

Texas A&M will be at OU on Saturday for a Men's game and Missouri will be at OSU for the men as well that day. Watching a game at OSU is quite the experience as you are on top of the action no matter where you sit. Stillwater is on the way to OKC off I-35 about 30 miles east.

Go downtown to Bricktown. Lots of places to eat and some clubs. The boats may or may not be running on the canal, depending on the weather, but that's kinda romantic. If you're downtown and like Pizza, I suggest Hideaway Pizza, it's AWESOME!! Toby Keith's I love this Bar restaurant is supposed to be pretty good as well. Pro Bass Shops has a store downtown, cool to walk around in.

The Murrah Bombing Memorial is just on the NW side of downtown. Thunder Valley Raceway Park will have test-n-tune on Sunday after 5pm, weather permitting. Thats in Noble about 10 miles south of Norman. The Oklahoma Tackle Show is at the Fairgrounds, big fishing show with boats, RV's and other camping stuff. The Oklahoma History Center over by the state capital is really cool, I worked on both the architectural and the mech/elec systems on that building. The National Cowboy & Western History Museum is on the NE side of town, near the OKC Zoo and Omniplex, which is near Remington Park which is near Frontier City.

I don't do clubs or bars, so I have no idea what is still around. That's about all I can think of right now.

Well, my wife started her job yesterday, a lady came in to have some vet work done, asked the vet who my wife was and she told her she was the new book keeper. The lady travels a lot and is looking for some book keeping to be done. I asked my wife when can I quit work? Then I told her we ought to wait until I get my shop built, then I can be Mr. Mom.
