Super Stiff Rear Spring/shock Combo

Most of the regulars know I've got super huge wheels and tires out back. Upgraded the rear control arms and went with mach 1 shocks but left the stock springs. Body roll is obnoxious. I'm looking for a spring/shock combo that will severely reduce if not eliminate this. Not really looking to get lower although I probably could drop up to an inch but would prefer stock height if possible. If I can't figure this out the 315s are coming off.

Eibach kit? I had their spring/strut-shock kit on my 86. I did have a little rear tire rub on bumps/dips in the road if someone sat in rear(my kids). Not sure with the 315's and I forget the specific lowering dimensions

No. Still stock. Think that will make an appreciable difference? Stock springs are still like a rocking chair. Need to replace those two.

Up/down isn't a problem. It's taking a corner at anything faster than a crawl and the body pitches over like the Titanic.

I'm not familiar with mach1 shocks so if they are still good but it leans like a barge the sway bar needs to be larger but its also relative to ride height, you likely need to add a bigger bar in front too. Notice the front bar is always larger than the rear, like brakes, the sway bars need to be paired correctly for maximum proformance, unless it's hoopty high like a hippie on hemp, then there's no hope.

They are tokico shocks. Very similar to the blue series.

honestly they may be a part of my issues. Not sure if Sn rears have longer travel but if that is is the case they are not operating in the same range as the factory springs and sway bar are designed to work in.

I'd go for the sway bars first, those tires have a big foot print and are overpowering the car, you may have to step up to an adjustable rear shock, keep in mind front to back balance

I doubt you need adjustable sway bar

Matching struts in the front. Tokico SN take offs.
I have coil overs that haven't gone on yet. Wanted to address the rear first.

Sway bars would help but the springs prob aren't doing you any favors.

Problem is anything aftermarket will drop you down. Mach/Bullitt springs would be a good match, but difficult to find a set these days

An adjustable damper set on full firm might be your next best option.

I ordered a set of rear stock height springs for my 88 convertible from Advance Auto. They were so stiff I took them off and put used 4 cylinder springs on it. They rode a lot softer than the bricks I bought previously. Maybe they needed to break in...but they were stiff.

That was 15 years ago. Smh

Sway bars will definitely help with body roll.

The springs will have to be addressed. The body has around 250k miles on it. These things are toast.
