i have been doing research and waffling back and forth about electric fans, flex (my current set up) and clutch.

what fans are you guys running? with electric fan fit?

with my 10 lbs of boost i can do without 10 extra hp for close to 300 bucks for electric set up said and done.

just wanted to know some opinions or any experiences.

i am not running a blower anymore but i bought my elec fan setup when i did and was going to use it with it. its on now and works great.

i fought cooling issues for a while.
new radiator, all that stuff. but the stock clutch fan was too far from the radiator. so it would get warm at idle and low speed.

i finally bit the bullet and did the 3g alt conversion and elec fan swap.

i used an "RC" fan, its a fan from a 98-02 intrepid, i found the fan on ebay for around 100 bucks. did the modification and made some custom brackets to bolt it to my radiator. i then bought a DCC fan controller.

the setup works very well and cools the car great. reason i chose the RC fan is because i had my old SC setup at the time and it was a thinner fan around 3 5/8" and would clear blower crank pulleys. i dont have the SC anymore like is said but the fan works awesome.

I know what you mean about turbo. i was looking at treadstone and their turbo kit for our cars was 200 bucks more that what i payed for my vortech

BUT Cali likes the CARB # and apparently they are concerned about smog

when i saw that i almost just bought it right then and there.

ANYWAYS, that fan looks great! i have been wanting to to the taurus fan for a bit but just exploring options and such.

anyone still running the stock set up clutch fan??
