supercharger on an H/C/I setup?

Once I eventually get my engine freshly rebuilt with a better H/C/I setup, I'll probably start thinking about forced induction. But a couple people have told me that superchargers are designed for stock application only.....so does that mean you shouldnt put a blower on an H/C/I setup? I'd probably keep it pretty simple with a vortech s-trim at around 6-8 #s of boost.

That sounds like the most ridiculous thing. With building an H/C/I you are just increasing your motors ability to cram air/fuel into the CC to make more horsepower, I can fathom no way in which this would be problematic.

For example, how about the GTTT (twin turbo Ford GT) that is rolling around on heavy boost, or terminators... they have a decent H/C/I and then are factory supercharged. Someone feel free to tell me I'm wrong, but that sounds like crap.

Of course you can do both :nice:

however

There is the practical side to doing both that one should consider IMHO

Its very easy to produce so much hp ... you can destroy everything

Everybody wants more power ... I know I do ;)

You just gotta go into it with your eyes wide open :D

wow i guess then about half of the guys on this forum are screwed!

the only thing i can think of is a supercharger being meant for a stock application is to get the right mounting brackets.

Thats a pretty weird thought.

Before anyone should start mods on their cars, what needs to be done is to sit down and map out a plan and budget for your car. Modify your car as to what your plans and budget are calling for.

Example: I made a high compression 347 w/juice because I knew my budget wasn't calling for the additional cost of the charger. Don't make high compression if your plans and budget call for a charger or turbo soon.
