Let me take some of the bias out of this sales pitch for you a little. And as far as noise goes….you’re the only owner of a 1.7L KB I’ve ever heard claim that it was a loud blower. Lots or roar and rushing air sound (which is cool in its own right), but definitely no where near as loud as an Eaton.

I posted my video above, but here are two more with a 1.7

I don't hear a roar or rushing air sound, but I do hear a whine

Here is a vid of my car, I've been told by friends it is loud,
when I am leaving they can hear it over the exhaust..
The video had the large pulley on it, it's louder now that I added 2psi

I'll have to see if I can get him to send me the raw video without the music.
but here it is anyway

Well, I have to admit, it does have a nice little whine to it. Louder than any other 1.7 i've heard.

Here's a Mustang with an AED kit on it, utilizing the REV II Manifold and an Eaton MP90 blower. Keep in mind, that this video was shot from way up in the stands and it gets really loud up close. Louder than most M112 Cobra's I've seen, actually. http://www.allenengine.com/Steve12.6109.wmv

How the heck am I supposed to compete with freegin 6-9 PSI from 2-6K? Fact is, MOST 6PSI owners arent seeing much more HP than me . I have seen plenty right @ 300RWHP-320RWHP. Most of those go low 13s @ 106-107 from what I have seen.
But all that performance comes at a cost...it will NOT last as long as mine . I nail my car FREEGIN EVERY DAY, and most of the time about 2 or 3 6000-6.2K runs. If I had a KB, my engine would be gone by now lol...thats the thing I dont like. Worring about my engine letting go. .

I nail my car every freegin day as well and the motor is still chugging along just fine. The auto is slipping though. Oh well, if anything breaks, I replace it with something better. That includes motor too.

Why worry
If you are making the same power than you are putting the same stress on the same components
The only thing that lets go on mine is the tires

Heard of ALOT more S/C cars letting go vs N/A cars . Im just saying that I personally would be worried everytime I hit it. Not only that but if a filter clogs or fule pump stops working @ wot, my car will just die, S/C will go into a million pieces. Guess im just not the type for a S/C on my DD. My 66 however WILL get the treatment .

Breaking them with a blower has probably got more to do with how it's tuned, than running the blower itself. I've never heard of a blown car going South because of a clogged fuel filter, or pump.
