Re-cap:
My 1975 302 blew-up last fall. I got a re-man 1991 5.0L H.O and put a E303 cam and my Edelbrock performer heads on it.

Work has been really busy, but I finnaly got the engine in the car. It started right up! I will have to run some G-tech times, does not really feel any quicker. Not that it really should, since the old flat tappet and the E303 have very similar cam specs.
It felt so good to here the Mach fire-up though.
The road I tested it on was dusty, so it was a slip & slide ride.

I cheated, mine is carburated

I had a 1975 vintage 302 with flat top pistons, and an Edelbrock Performer Camshaft. I put the Edelbrock heads on it last year. The Intake manifold did not seal properly and I milkshaked the motor. I cleaned it all out and ran it all summer. It had a small un-defined noise in it all last summer that turned into a really, really loud knock when I sprayed the suspect engine with a 100hp shot of nitrous LOL Its only, money I will make more It ran 13.40 on the G-tech N/A and 12.40 with the spray. It does not hook up very well on street tires, I was thinking of going to a real track and buying some slicks, but I am broke and with slicks you play the weakest link game, which can get really expensive! The BF Goodrich t/a's are the fuses that protect the drivetrain from blowing up.

A few photos of the Mach's New engine.

I have been busy with some non-Mustang related adventures lately. Putting a 200HP MX-6 2.5L V6 into a 1994 Mazda 323. hehe (MX-3 parts car dismantle photo)
