Wow... I was wishing so hard for the sweep that I must have put a curse on the Sen's or something! I would love to see the Senators play the Wings for the cup. That'd be something special.

He deserved it. He got nasty and the hit was uncalled for. 13 stitches and he still came back and played well. Hockey is the best sport ever!!!
I want the Wings all the way, but that's too bad. Poor Ducks. The hit wasn't intentionally evil, it just ended up that way. Wasn't t it Neidermeyer who had his hands up anyway (and subsequently knocked the helmetless Homer into the boards?) If anything I would've suspected him to be tossed like he was in the game. Or was it the other way around? I can't remember.I was reeeeeeeeally hoping Homer would come back and net the hat trick after that, though!
Besides, the Ducks need all the help they can get after last night
It was Pronger and I think the hit was intentionally high. He knew who he was hitting and he often will go after anyone on the team that is being a pest... and 2 goals qualified Homer...
I am glad they got worked. This is by far the worst game we have played in the Playoffs and the best game Detroit has played. Tonight will be very interesting.
I hope they can win one or two more, but I just don't think they are strong enough to hold the Sen's back.
Sens will make it... Detroit We will see tonight. This is a must win for the Ducks... Pronger must be kicking himself now!

Well - it's been a couple days now and the Ducks look to wipe the Red Wings from one of their better playoff runs. I can't say I'm too upset - both teams look pretty good.
Too bad we can't get rid of Lejia though.

The Ducks didn't play their best... but still won

I hate the ABC commentators. They rip both sides at different times for playing bad and then praise either team shortly there after for a goal or good hit. It's tough to watch the games on ABC and Versus because of the crappy commentators.

That was the third game that Kopecky has played and the stupid freaking play by play announcer still hasn't said his name right. Bunch of announcing retards. Give me Ken and Mickey anytime. I used to watch the CBC but thier audio sucks and it's always like amature hour there and also if it's not Canadian then it's no good.

Yeah, that is true... But CBC is better than VS & ABC combined. It is almost painful to watch when that guy is sitting between the benches with his little clipboard.

That was great.
That game was horrible, Ducks got lucky on both accounts. Not saying they suck, they just didn't outplay the Wings whatsoever. Hopefully all will be right tomorrow night.

woo hoo, didn't get to watch the game cause i was at the lake, but i just seen th sens won. gotta catch the highlights yet. Anaheim beat Detroit so thats cool (couple ex-Winnipeg jets there so i gotta cheer for them for now...) guess we'll see what happens tommorow

i thought the sens would have a better chance against anahiem but they're defense is really strong. second year in a row pronger helps to take a team to the finals, hopefully for anahiem his wife likes to live in california

I can't fault the Ducks for the win.. We didn't control the game when the first puck was dropped. It was pretty down hill from there. I know that I shouldn't make excuses either but truthfully the RedWings were pretty banged up this year.
Maybe next year then...!

... We'll see how they play, but steamroll is not the word I would use. We haven't played in more than a year, so it's all just paper now. Go Ducks!!! Pronger makes a big difference, Salane wants it bad, Niedermayer knows how to win it... Only 4 wins to the cup!!! It is going to be another great series.
The Redwings were quiet for the first two periods. They came out very strong in the third period and showed why they deserved to be in the Western finals. It was one of the most exciting games of the playoffs so far.

only problem with selane is he can be hot and cold and not score for a couple games, anahiems defence is great but new jersey was said to have one of the best defences in the league and they had brodeur in net....... should be a good series
