The Official MACn89blckstng Progress Thread

not trying to jack this thread but:

25thmustang.....do you have a build thread from your car or a thread with pics of your ride?? i can't tell from your avatar what your color combination is and it looks like a vert intsead of the one pictured in your sig?

now back to the regularly scheduled programming................

disregard.....found your build thread.....again, another thread with excellent progress pics. sweet ride!!

I'm quite possibly in love with your color scheme and the build altogether. I think I speak for everyone when I say, we appreciate every last detail you put into your obsession and I'm sure you will all the same. Good luck man, hope to see you on the road one day.

WOW! is all the words I can say right now, this car is going to be amazing!!! I cant wait to see it in its final product. I have the morning off tom and I wanna come by your shop and possibly see it man and you, its been to long buddy.

Thanks greg, like I've said this has been a HUGE project and I never expected it to take 2 years to do!
Here's some small progress, I got the back half of the car ready for prime and stuff, got the wing grille insert and front fender extensions ready, getting the fenders ready now. I also fixed the typical ttop car rust area in the windshield frame, I knew i had to do this so before I scrapped my old 89 I cut this section out of that car for the 88. I finished the body work on it but didn't get any pics. Here's a couple pics of some progress worth posting. I decided to clean up the inner edge of the fender to clean up the haggard factory cuts. I like the way it looks although I may be going a little overboard with this one. BTW its 1 am and I am getting a ton done tonight! It's nice being at the shop alone without any distractions, besides the interwebz. lol

I have no set time of when the car is going to be done, thats how I end up rushing things and it never comes out right. I'm just gonna keep working on it when I can until its done. I'm hoping by late spring it will be done. I want to go to Carlisle with it in the summer and Mmmmmmaybe myrtle beach but I don't know. I work on the car tuesdays and thursdays during the week after work and the gym and then I work on it pretty much all day on saturdays and sundays. It's coming along nicely, hopefully will be in primer within the next two weeks or so? then jambed out right after that. We'll see.

yea we got about 3-5 inches yesterday, got some old school snow tires on the LX so it didn't do too bad. Had g-force sports on the front so turning wasn't all that possible at anything over 10 mph lol

i did my door jambs but the factory spot welds are kind of bothering me and i am thinking of smoothing out the door jambs as well.i know this is crazy and if i keep going like this i will never get it done.i have been getting some progress with mine as well the dash is in and i sound deadened the interior.
