my good friends nephew was at her house the other day,he is like 8 or so...and when i pulled up he was like that sounds cool, that's a mustang gt wow that's cool..
i got my first mustang when i was 16, it was a 95 v6, when i was looking at selling it i was hellbent on getting a civic, boy am i glad i didnt do that!!! now i am 18 and 100% a mustang man for life!!
I stopped for a red light once and the guy behind actually got out of his truck and walked up to me car just to find out what engine I had(stock 5.0 at the time). He said it looks and sounds good and got back in his truck.
People never seem to believe me either when I tell them my car is a 95. I always get "it looks clean as hell for a 95!" Which always puts a smile on my face. I was able to convince one of my younger cousins not to buy a civic when I took him with me to the track. He saw all the rice burners with literally no interior running as slow as they do, and saw the big torquey V8's lifting the fron wheels up and now wants a camaro. (yea, i know, but its better than a civic. )
Another little cousin was converted after my brother gave him a ride in his mach. He was leaning forward in the passenger seat looking around and my bro threw him back in his seat when he punched it. He got out of the car after a few WOT blasts, getting a little sideways and said, "holy s**t man, I never realized how much power mustangs had!"
There is still hope.
I came bakc to my car form the movies last night and it was surrounded by some preeteen-teen kids just running around to the back to find out what it was. i guess they were knowledgeable enough to se ethe cobra front, no wing and i have 302 badges so they went to teh rear to see it was a GT
peopel often ask me if i am going for the cobra lookand am i going to swap a cobra engine?
i say, no i am faster than that and just hate the stock gt bumper
