Thermastat housing with threaded for temp senor

That's what I did...worked great.

I think pepboys might have one....

I put it in the back of the lower intake and its quite a bit different from the front. I plan on moving it to the front sooner or later.

i recently did this and with the assistance of Andy and RC in choosing what to use and which route to pursue, i went with a cast ugly housing from Autozone (DAP also sells them aparently). 10 bucks. I think Andy said he has not had good luck with the chrome housing (leaks).

i put the stock sender in the waterneck and the aftermarket sender in stock location. if you have a dead port on the rear of the lower, you can use it (my car does not have any dead ports). that rear location is not as accurate, so put the least accurate gauge's sender in the rear.

It was RC who had a really bad leak with the chrome ford racing one. He tried 2/3 gaskets rtv and the darn thing just kept leaking. It may be a hit of miss type part kinda like there cams.

gotcha. i must have remembered wrong - I thought Andy was once saying that his leaked a little (more of an annoyance than a real issue). my bad.
