Any of give an estimate on how much rwhp to get into the low 7's in the 1/8 mile. There is not a 1/4 mile strip around here. I had a drag oriented suspension on my car before. Lakewood 90/10's, fox body 4cyl front springs and removed front sway bar for the front and it was horrible and annoying to drive. And couldn't stand it and turned the car back to stock basically.
I only have 15,000 miles on my car, so i won't get a built shortblock until the engine goes. Can a 400 rwhp 2 valve street get into the low 7's in the 1/8. I really don't want to fork over 10-15k just get a 600 rwhp car.
Any advice, cause breaking into the 7's in the 1/8 mile is something just about ever car around gets at the drag strip or at least all my friends cars. So 7.90's or 7.80's on motor isn't impressive compared ot my friends ls1's doing it basically stock except for gear and slicks.
