Lately the 94/95 tech and talk has been a ghost town! What gives? I'm lurking around all day, checking in when I take breaks but hardly anything new lately..

Come on guys, think of something quick! lol

I agree. Back in the day the threads moved so fast could hardly keep up. I'll be working on the GT this weekend. Look for more pictures in the build thread.

These years are becoming more and more of a niche group. The red headed stepchild that is the 94-95 5.0 is real.

Love them or hate them a modern car that only had an effective 2yr run is rare and would make for some isolation. I prefer exclusivity...

All the work I'm doing on my Cobra is either maintenance or been posted about a lot, so I don't bother. I think all the folks who've been here for a while have kind of run out of "new" things to post about.

Thats just it. The guys on the 94/95 forum are great, but a lot have finished or already modded their cars to the point where they will keep them. Unless its a problem, or something actually interesting, seems like most dont post much. It is what is, but I like our little group. Good, respectable guys.

yeah, the talk section as slow as it is, seems to be more active than tech.

There really is not a lot you could say to add. 5.0 has had every combination setup, and our years have been around that its more of a recipe at this point to get X outcome.

I hope you guys will still welcome me when I'm rolling in the 99 with the 94's soul in it.

5.0 Talk isn't much better, sad to say. I used to read both all the time because I had tons of friends in each, but it seems everyone is either selling their Mustangs or just not hanging out here anymore.

94-95s are just kind of dying slowing out there. I mean, how many do you REALLY see on the road? I used to see them all the time 10+ years ago. Over time, our niche just becomes smaller and smaller. When you think about it, our cars don't really have a hell of a lot to offer anyway. They were cool until about 8 years ago when sports cars actually started to get fast from the factory. Hell, even non-sports cars now days destroy our cars. My stock stang is no faster than our Xterra. If I started getting into cars, say 5 years ago, I would probably be driving, something much higher tech/better/faster. The only reason I still have the stang is because I'm too poor to get anything better or put the amount of money into it to actually make it good.

As a relative newcomer to the forum, and to this model Mustang, let me give you old timers a little perspective on your model, that you seem kinda down on:

I'm 45, drove a 68GT Fastback as my first car at 16; my daughter's name is Shelbi...I pretty much eat, sleep, and breathe Mustang.

I bought my 95 a few years ago as a summer DD, because my 67 is in a perpetual state of "not ready". I am at the point in life where budget doesn't necessarily drive everything, and when shopping that spring, I was considering, among other options: a brand new Bullitt (must have been summer of 08?), a restomod 68 Bullitt replica, and a few others in addition to my 95 vert.

The vert won. Sure, it was cheaper, but the biggest reason was I could get an affordable, mod-able, modern car, that had some real draw to me:
1) Last year of the iconic 5.0 (while I think the new 5.0 is uber-cool, and I plan to add one to the stable, it's not a REAL 5.0)
2) SN 95 was when Ford first realized what a Mustang is supposed to look like...the Fox bodies are important to the lineage, and added their own chapter to the Mustang story, but they don't "look like a Mustang" to me.
3) Way better platform, IMHO, than the Fox body- 4 wheel disks, better handling, tighter...
These were special cars. May never be "collectible", but they're special nonetheless. They'll never be a Terminator, but they weren't meant to be. Appreciate them for what they are.

Compared to a few short years ago

We can say ... R. I. P. to these three forums

Still love the two year model run and the guys here for sure
but
Things have more than ... slowed down

Well, the Fox forums will never die and neither will ours. I found myself lurking about even when I didn't own a 94/95 any more.

Thats because nobody talks about anything good here. I am a member of a few other mustang forums and the 94/95 crowd is a bit more fun. Not to say there aren't cool people here but ive given up on this section off stangnet....

I guess some of you guys like spending more time on the internet than I do, but I've never gone on any Mustang forum other than this one hardly ever. How much time a day do you want to sit on the internet? Gees.

well some of us who have office jobs have nothing better to do really and like a place to talk crap about cars, so some of us really have a lot of time on our hands with nothing at our disposal but the internet.
