how many RPM's are you turning? People talk about power breaking blocks, but it is the coming together of many varibles that make a block split, and RPM is a huge one.

It has an expontial effect
the car weighs 2925lbs with me in it:D and the car does not see over 6200 rpms

i hope you go faster too! ! Are you going to make it to any fun ford events? Man i really need to get my driving under control. I guess i just need some seat time. Im trying to figure out why the car trapt so high:shrug: i think it is due to my hideous 60ft times lol

Na,I think the block should hold up for awhile.

Just keep an eye on things,check for loose bolts and nuts,keep good oil in it and change it when its do.Check out the rockers and pushrods occasionaly,even though your runing a hyd. roller.Check out the balancer and pulleys,if you get any wobbles,fix them.

If it makes you feel better about it I know a guy that raced in FFW spring break shoot out about a year back,and he was runing a 347 Mexican block,and spraying a 400hp shot on a plate.They were having alot of problems else were,but the block has held up.

One thing I think you should consider is going to a single plain intake,you would really pick up some mph and et.

Yeah a victor jr is working its way into the budget! I think the car is going to pick up about 4 tenths once i learn how to drive the thing on the bottle:shrug: i change the oil in the car about every 500 miles since i dont do much driving with it

Whats your trans gearing?

You got the 3.35 first gear,or the 2.95?

Either way,better get a cage and some wheelie bars :D

Did you pull the front tires? how far off the ground. I want to go and get strange struts and shocks for my car and maybe a set of drag springs to see what i could really do with some suspension mods. Oh did you launch on the juice?

Seems like my car falls flat on its face for the last 1/8 mile. Perhaps it was missing. I tryed another run with juice and my car would not rev past 5500rpm. The next day i took my dizzy apart to find the magnetic pick up and stater full of rust. I sure hope down at sea LvL my car will perform a bit better then at 1700ft. What carb and jets are you using? I have a 750 out of the box holley. I think i maybe need to do some jetting i seem to be running very rich. I think I wiegh 3264 with me in it so Maybe that wieght let your car come around me. That and i think you do make 50 or so more ponies then me.

i pull the tires all motor. . . i did not pull them on the juice! i cant launch on the juice,well i can but, the rev limiter is set at 6200 rpms and the window switch is set to activation range of 3000-6000 rpm with a full throttle switch. so as you can see i really need a 2 step to launch on the sauce. Although i wonder if i launched off the rev limiter, do you think it would bounce back below the 6000 mark activating the nitrous?:shrug: Thats the color i want to do my car in
 
I don't launch on my rev limitor. I launch on my juice with me trying to keep er steady. i think i was 3500 rpm on my 11.5 run. i have 3.35 1st gear so on the juice 1st was gone instantly. what 60 foot times did you do all motor?
