Sonic blue paint + FR500's = Project Sonic 500

Awesome project car should be a fun build up. Nothing wrong w/ wanting to keep a Mustang mostly stock especially when it will have some killer looks

Windviel is light, but seems like it would work well with the light blue interior. I can picture it done already, would make me drool!

I'm going to work on a p-shop of that color blue.. i was dead set on Sonic blue but now im exploring other options..

I want this car to be "different" and "stand out" like yours

Those all-blue interiors are pretty uncommon. There is also an all-red interior just as uncommon.

Blue is tolerable...even a different look.

That car seems like it had rare options. ALL blue interior, power seated 4 cylinder (every power option, a/c and cruise).

The reasonI say stick with it, that interior is just too damned rare and clean to tear it out or dye it.

I've decided the interior will stay.. Not only because of the clean rare factor, also it saves me some coin!

I'm also seriously considering that blue from the s197 color chart. With the color of the interior, i think it will compliment eachother very nice. some giant fr500's dropped, she will be pretty sweet.

Now starts the quest for gathering parts!!

Boy no love for the Windviel blue... Sounds just like my friends and family when I said I liked it originally. Any blue should look good, but my vote is windviel. If not, I might build me one some day .

That bright atlantic blue is nice!

I'm going to work on some photoshops and post them up of some different blues. I want to get a good side shot of an FR500 rim so if someone could find that, that'd be awesome!

I know of the Civic Blue, its similar to my Audis blue. It would look good, but I have a thing for the Windviel. Its all opinion, and mine doesnt mean anything, but I figure with the light blue interior it could look nice.

Thanks guys!

OK so this weekend while really looking at it.. what if i kept it white and did some sort of deep dish bullitt or FR500 rim in the rear with a black center polished lip? OR some all black saleen rims with the car being white?

From the pictures, the exterior looks to be in decent condition. I would just do the rust repair you mentioned and get the car driving before making any paint decisions. Looks like a great platform, good luck!

Wow, how did I miss this thread? Anyways, congrats on the purchase coupe. I'm sure it will be as nice as your last. I hate the blue interior in my car, but that tone and cleanliness is pretty nice!

And for the record, I'm with 25th, I really like that windveil blue.

thanks rigs!!!

See now i'm up in the air again.. I was going to go windveil but this weekend i was thinking maybe i should keep it white with some black rims? Now i'm back to maybe wanting it blue again!!

I was also thinking that the jambs, and under the hood etc i'd paint black It would make for an easier cleaning??? Thats why i was considering leaving it white becasue then i wouldn't have to paint the jambs..

I really don't want to take the doors off they close so nice and the pins are fine!!
