The 94-98 V6 and GT calipers and the 99-04 PBR's will work with a fox V8 booster. You don't have to modify anything. 4cyl and 8cyl masters are the same:

BRAKE MASTER CYL ** 541-00824 **

Cougar '87-88
Mustang '87-92
Mustang '93 exc. Cobra
Thunderbird '87-88 exc. Turbo Coupe

Sorry....I didn't know NJ had to pass emissions. You better make it right then...and NJ sure would hate my cars!!

Bro....I wish you were closer...I have a lot of parts that are large to ship. Tail pipes, mufflers, etc...they are for a 94-95 Mustang GT, but I put the 2001 catback and H on my 81 notch with no trouble... You know...I bet I could ship some of that stuff...I'm sure I would get a box big enough over the next couple weeks. We can talk more about it when you are ready.

+1 on the Super Turbos, I have them on my hatch and I wouldn't trade them for anything. Can't wait to see more pics of your progress!

I think his car will go together quickly. The body looked like it needed minimal work, if any. Hack Job and my 91 notch needed a lot of dents fixed. It just took a lot of hours to get them ready for paint. I really hope he gets to work on it as much as I got to work on my two notches.

While my 91 was done in two months, Hack Job was done in 11 months. I never thought the fabrication on Hack Job would end. Plus I didn't have as much time for the hours needed to work on Hack Job.

I wish you and Project Blue Balls lots of luck and free time...I hope you get it done in a good time frame.

Thanks for all the kind words!

I'll be calling on you all again im sure!! I have the entire month of August to work on this project, i think what may hold me back is funding. We'll see though, my fiance wants it done just as bad and she said she'd help out a bit if i need some more funds

Problem is, my DD is dying.. so priorities are pick up a new DD.. My father is getting me a 2005 escape with 100k miles for 3k so thats a deal i couldn't pass up. I'll have it any day then i can retire the jeep (200k+ miles on her) and i'll have a better stance on where i sit with funding for this project

I might work on a sonic blueish pshop tonight, but it wont look right, car doesnt have the right paint reflection for it. I might be able to find a fox hatch with the FR500s that I can use to pshop it.

I think any blue, lowered on the DD FR500s would be sick.

As for brakes, I would say do the 5lug discs if you can swing it. I did mine fairly cheap, and Im sure a pick and pull you could do it cheaper. If you wait some time, I might be building a rear and could sell you my stuff for cheap. Just not sure when I plan to do it.

The thing is - i don't know what i would need for a rear disc setup. We have a mustang junkyard in Jackson called C&H. I was going to make a giant list, go to him and see what i can get. Would i still be able to use ranger axles and just pull all the hardware from a 94-95 stang?

Ranger axles, North Race Car brackets, SN95 V6 or GT antimoans, discs, calipers I would recommend an SN95 MC and booster and a brake proportioning valve. Need to remove the spring from the ebrake handle and weld the gear to it... It's not bad to do the swap and discs look a lot better behind the big open wheels .

So i can get Ranger axles, and basically all the hardware (calipers, rotors and mounting things) from an sn95? What are North Race Car Brackets? Having rear disc's eliminate the need for me to run c-clip eliminators? how does it work i'm a noob

brackets so you can mount disk brakes on your factory housing.

and all front brake components and spindles form a 95 will bolt up perfectly

and because the caliper mounts to the housing on the rear and the disk is inside of the caliper the axle can push out. so if it breaks it wont fall out. C-clips keep it form falling out.

Yup stock stuff, NRC brackets and the caliper will hold the axle in... ask me how I know .

Front stuff works fine, you need one side soft line (from the hard lines to the caliper) and a couple fittings to reduce the lines (I got them in a package deal). You also need a spacer for the ball joints (I believe). There are websites that tell you everything you need to know for the swap.

YOU snapped your axle (or was it carrier?) at the track with all your mad power yo

I have a few websites that tell me stuff.. they are just WAYY in debth. The only thing you said that has me worried is welding of a gear

That worried me too, but its real simple. You take spring off the ebrake handle (discs have the spring on the caliper), rachet the handle up a few degrees, and then a simple tack weld to keep the gear attached to the handle and your done.

I snapped the axle and bent the carrier. Actually the picture in my Avatar is either right before I snapped it, or right after. Never even tripped the beams, car just sat still. But the axle stayed right where it needed to.

Don't worry about anything Justin...once you get your hands into the project and are putting it all together, and testing everything, you will see what needs to be done. I was that way with everything, on Hack Job, but once you get into it, there is no stopping and everything will be clear.

Yea i've done some big mustang projects before, just not all at once like this one. I'm sure it will be just fine!

Stoked to start it, Can't wait to finish and driveeeeeee ittttttt!!!!!!!!!!

The only thing that worries me a bit is the custom aspect of things.. But most of it is straight forward save for the small welding of the parking brake. I'm sure i'll figure that out when i dive into it
