Ok the car has 196k miles on and I'm not wanting to rebuild right now as I'm deciding rather I want to build the other car (95) and do a 331 for it. So with the 94 Cobra I'd like to get some more out of it possibly and thinking about a blower. It has 3.73's and bbk 1 5/8th LT's. If anyone has or had that setup post some pics.

Where does the intercooler mount if I decide to go with an intercooler? Also a good safe tune and safe psi I would be comfortable with to get me from 275 rw to around 375 I would be fine with. Or a bigger pulley and 400 would be nice too but the car is a non track weekend street cruiser only for the most part....

If it were me, I’d throw a v3 si on it. I think with an ultra safe 6 psi you’d probably be at 375-400hp. You could safely go to 8 or even 10 psi for more power. Intercooler isn’t needed with low boost.

My car made 300hp/341tq NA. Adding a v3sci with 6 psi got me to 416hp/452tq.

Okay that's music to my ears. What about with the 373 gears and the long tubes? Not so much the long tube headers but I've always heard 355 is a good all-around gear with a supercharger. Did you install yours yourself

I have the same headers, they’ve been great. And 3:73’s as well. The gears were already installed when I bought the car. They’re fine. A little too low for me (T5 car) but not bad enough to change.

Yes, I did install the blower myself.

Nope, sorry I’m way up in Maine lol. It’s really easy though. Check out LMR’s install video if you haven’t already.

Skip the 1 5/8 and run the 1 3/4 BBK if you’re doing those.

Intercooler is tough unless you use the power cooler which is an air to water Vortech makes but the pump and heat exchanger aren’t the best and should be upgraded - then anything else is not a bolt in affair.

To do an air to air you’ll have to have piping and stuff made up. Everything I see seems to be more room on the sn95 cars to do an air to air setup then the fox cars.

Next option is water meth which in my opinion has come a long way since the early days. I have been running it now 4-5 years. I do have an air to air for mine but I’m making upwards of 23 psi when it’s turned up so it’s a little different.

10-12psi will get you where you want to be and have a fun car to mess around with.

cool sounds good but I already have 1 5/8th's on and this car is just one of 3 fun weekend mostly streetcars, no track. I might not even have to add an SC again after fixing a few minor things and driving it the other day I think it'll suffice for now till I do the 331 for the 95 .

I also love the numbers Cheapskate made with around 6 psi with his setup and so he said I won't need an intercooler for low psi..

the only thing I'm seeing from them is the fox install. Same concept pretty much for the 94 95?

I was just answering your original question which included an intercooler question.

His car was already making 300 at the tire which tells me it had decent heads , intake and cam .

Going to take more then 6 psi with a blower and stock heads and intake to make 400 at the tire .

Low boost I agree 12 and under you don’t need the ic

it's all good and my combo is in the sig. I'm at 275 to the wheels and when I did the combo back in 05 but had flow masters and shorty headers, e cam and was really just getting it running pretty good after the 6 to v8 swap I actually think at a different tuner it made 286 and the milege might've been around 80-90 something k miles on the engine. I think with the setup now and having a few other minor things fixed the car is running the best it ever has even though it has the mileage it has on it now. So yeah we would have similiar results with the v3 install if I went that route one day.

I'll likely do the 331 for the other car first and see how I love a fresh stroker engine. Then I'll decide at what point I want to mess with the 94 some more.

I have a modded 04 Cobra as well...

I'm running a V3-SI on stock Cobra motor with 3.73. Pushing 12-14 PSI and with trap speed calculations, that's just about 450 to the tire. Intercooler is a tight fit on these cars, I went for the snow performance stage 2 meth injection kit running 70/30 water/meth. It keeps charge temps down and a little knock resistance.

wow are you sure that's a biiiiig change from what's stock at the wheels. With 12-14 psi it's netting you an additional at minimum 250 ish rwhp?

The 94-95 Cobras were a touch underrated from the factory, I probably picked up 200ish to the wheels. My trap speed went from 95mph to 115mph
