water in egr?

pulled intake off to day and when i was setting it down water/coolant came out of the little nipple where there is a black line that goes from the coolant lines (that run from the pump to the heater core, metal) to the throttle body. what is this?

Water runs through the EGR spacer, but shouldn't be running through the EGR valve unless you have a leak.
