thats 1 thing that gets me. your cobra and my vr4 are close to the same weight, run close to the same times at the same MPH....yet i highly doubt im even making 400 whp.
iirc (its been a while since i drove my cobra) the gearing is pretty close too. i think the cobras have slightly shorter gears.
Racing isn't just about HP, take a look at your torque curve and then look at a Cobra's... I have 450 ft lbs of torque right at the start and it only drops to 400 ft lbs when I am making my most power of 450 ish HP. That low end torque the Eaton gives us does wonders for launches and overall E.T.'s.
Just a thought, from the people at SVT...
Also, the one time I raced an electric car at PIR, it absolutely jumped me off the line. I ran him down later but electric motors equal instantaneous torque...
