Went to an 1/8 mile track last night. Ran a best of 7.82@94.38MPH with a 1.84 60' time. I need to look through my old slips to be sure, but I think that's a new personal best. I probably could have picked up at least another tenth with a couple more runs, but I already got 8 runs in so I thought that was enough for the night.

I had one problem, my exhaust was banging off the floor on the 1-2 shift. I need to get it on a lift and check that out...

according to all the charts/calculators i found online it says your 1/8 time is only good for ~12.2. There are a lot of variables that come into play so I doubt those charts are very accurate. Your best bet is just get it to a 1/4 track and find out.

My 11.974 1/4 run had a 7.86 1/8 time, so 7.82 should be around 11.90-11.97.

Track times vary so much with driver skill, weather conditions, altitude, prep, wind, tires, tune, etc.

It is fun, but I prefer dyno sheets and look at the average HP in the shifting powerband.

Thanks for posting your times.

Also, this is kind of interesting. I was crossing the line at around 6200rpm in 3rd at the 1/8, and at the 1/4 I was crossing at 6000-6200 in 4th.
