What gear size do you recommend for a 94 Cobra?

If Cobras come with a stock 3.08...what gear would you guys recommend going up to? The car is not a DD, but I do put it on the highway every now and again, and does get driven to the track and shows.

I do have 3.73 gears brand new waiting in my barn, but now I'm considering going up to 4.10. Any thoughts?

There's a 10% difference in engine speed between 3.73's and 4.10's -- only you can decide. Cruise engine speed and fuel mileage are usually easy to take care of -- just cruise at a bit slower mph. If you're gonna change 'em, take the plunge. 4.10's.

I run 3.73's with a slightly shorter tire than the Stangs, and with the T5Z tranny - with the .625 5th gear. 65-70 mph is around 2300-2400 rpm; routinely gets 26-27 mpg cruising at 68 mph. I'm happy.

I myself would go 3.73 on a 5.0 Cobra.

4.10 would be better but if you already have the 3.73, use them. UNless you can make an even exchange.

like 92LX said, if you already have the 3.73 use it.
If someday you go blown (charger or turbo) the 3.73 will provide more benefit than the 4.10.

4.10 would be better, but like the others have said since you have the 3.73 used them you won't see that much difference.
