What needs to be done to run 800+hp?

Was thinking a cobra engine, or possibly a shelby engine, or maybe just the cobra shortblock? Maybe a lightning shortblock with a special intake? Im just not sure where to start

Im not much for trying to be original, so i dont care about the WOW! factor. I just want to be able to hang witht he Turbo'd cobras out there pushing 800+rwhp.

Any suggestions? Will the stock 06gt block hold that much power? Im thinking no, would be too easy to forge the hell out of the bottom end.

800 horsepower? ok maby i just am too bigoted but to me that just seems extream. i cant imagine the gas pedal on that thing! i mean it would be almost too fast to drive on the street! almost three times the horsepower my cars has right now.. wowzers you guys dream big
