So I picked up a 347 short block from a buddy for 1k only put 2k miles on it. My major questions are Am pretty sure am gonna have to upgrade to a 70mm throttle body and bigger Maf along with am assuming 24lb injectors and not sure about the fuel rails or pump? What else would I have to upgrade to get this thing going with out it crapping out on me? Mine is currently 302 pretty much stock including heads any help would be awesome also its aod

What heads do you plan on putting on the block?

I would be more concerned with the entire top end than just a 70mm TB.

I was thinking of just using the Gt40 heads on there already.

What would you suggest? I figured the gt40 intake and heads would do

Do you have a goal/budget? The GT40 combo will certainly work, but you're leaving ALOT on the table power wise.

Have some patience, build the engine up on a stand, then drop it in.
Any other way is going to cost you time, money and headaches in the long run.
Everything about a h/c/I swap is harder in the car.

The maf and the injectors on a good 347 should be 30's, so they would just be more parts you have to do twice.

You don't say anything about the cam, which is the most difficult part to do in the car.

Looks like more than 2k miles. Roll it over so we can see the bottom of the piston skirts.
